STARBUCKS TO DEFY BLOOMBERG'S BIG-DRINK BAN

Starbucks announced it plans it will continue offering 20 ounce venti-sized drinks because of the milk content. Like Dunkin’ Donuts, customers will also be able to add their own sugar.

Speaking Sunday on CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg called Starbucks’ plan “ridiculous.”

Really asshole??

I'm loving Starbucks more and more. Up until last year when they came out as pro-OC/pro-2nd I assumed they were a left leaning hippie haven, but now I buy their coffee and drink it every morning.

Multi-million dollar "hippie" corporations will play the hippie card only as far as it is profitable.

IMHO, of course.

I would hardly call Starbuuckk's pro-anything; they simply follow the Walmart plan, and go by state laws. That's simply being pro-business minded.
Unbanned since September 2012.

I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone, even dipshit bloomberg, would think government has the right to do this.

That's because you can't understand anyone who thinks that government has the right to run your life there bud. I gotta agree.

I have to admit.. I hope I die a quick and painless death without anxiety or foresight before we go much further down this road of stupidity.

I still can't believe it passed. Yet people are still allowed to drink pitchers of beer even though you can get drunk and wreck and you can't do that with soda.

No courts even trying to overturn this?

from my understanding, it appears as though they're going to keep selling their venti size beverages until they get clarification on the law(s). I guess if their lawyers say they're violating the new law, they'll stop selling it.

They should follow Magpul's lead and threaten to remove all Starbucks from the city if the law doesn't get reversed. And they should follow through with it.
