Steny Hoyer: We’ll Shut Down The Government If We Can’t Increase Spending…
#1
Quote:House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer would oppose a continuing resolution to keep government funded beyond Jan. 15 if it doesn’t address the sequestration cuts.

“I believe that hurts our national security, it hurts our economy and it undermines our responsibility of running government at a level that is productive for our people,” Hoyer said.

Hoyer’s comments come as Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) are working toward reaching a small-scale budget deal that would fund the government at $1 trillion and replace some of the sequester. As a back-up plan if budget talks fail, Republicans have said they would advance a $967 billion CR for the next fiscal year.

It's the "BILL OF RIGHTS" not the bill of "needs"

Seeing how little the government shutdown actually changed things, why not keep it "shut down" indefinitely. And then make more budget cuts.

The Second Amendment does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not infringe our right.

The big take away here, is that when the Republicans do it they are hateful, evil people, but when the DEMOCRATS do it, it is because of "justice."
