I might, depending on my schedule. Scranton is probably the closest office to me.

I might, but what good will it do on a Sunday?

I was thinking that as well. Wouldn't this be better on a week day. I know not as many people will attend due to work, but it might get better recognition by his people.

I would think even Saturday would be a little better. Your going to lose a lot of church goers on a Sunday who already have plans. I'm going to guess there was some kind of logic to this, but I don't know what it is.

Right, we wouldn't get even 1/4 on a weekday of what we could get on Sunday. Saturday is a day that people have errands and various commitments for the kids. People's schedules are more flexible on Sunday. The whole event is just one hour. Almost everyone can spare an hour.

Do you feel that a weekday is better because the office would be open? We don't care one hoot if it is. or not. We are not doing this to convince his staff.

It is about press coverage. It is only about press coverage. It is all about press coverage. We will be working our butts off to get. . . wait for it. . . press coverage.

What is the one thing any politician despises? Phone calls? Emails? Letters? No. No. No. Answer: negative press. So we want press coverage. We want it in every paper across the state. Of course, we wont get that. But we will get a bunch.

I hope we have a viable alternative to him to replace him. Both of our Senators need to be voted out. Though Senator Toomey is the better one of the two. How Senator Casey has stayed in office as long as he has is beyond me.

I'd love to get rid of both, but Casey was just reelected last year. Toomey will not even face a primary challenger. The establishment wouldn't primary him. So who would finance a run? The grassroots movement has no money, and has no organization to raise money.

A grassroots candidate needs statewide recognition and $25 million. So, there will be no one.

Update: The following was sent this evening, to all who registered for the protest.

We are pleased to announce that PA4SP has reached out to the Senator Toomey Camp and has received positive responses to our request that the Toomey-Manchin anti-gun legislation or any similar bills not be reintroduced. We will continue to follow up with the Senator's office and work to educate them on the fallacy of gun control legislation.

As a result, the planned protests for Sept. 13th are hereby cancelled. We sincerely appreciate all of those who signed up to protest the Senator's offices statewide. We will update you if the need arises for a political demonstration, but now it seems unnecessary.

If you would like to get involved in the future, please contact us from this page: http://www.pa4sp.org/contact/

We thank you for your willingness to take a stand, and are confident that without you, our negotiations would have been totally ineffective.

I was under the impression that Senator Toomey was not going to try this again.

Did PA4SP believe that Toomey had intentions to promise another gun control bill in the Senate or something?

Was it over this? -> http://www.politico.com/story/2015/06/gu...cks-119361
