Store Ignores Obvious Signs, Goes Overboard With Its Anti-Gun Policy

A furniture store in Takoma Park, Maryland that calls itself a “Weapons Free Environment” took its policy a bit too far on Independence Day.

That’s when a loss prevention officer at IKEA approached Alan Goldberg, who carried a visible, holstered firearm into the store, telling him he would have to leave the premises or place the weapon in his vehicle, according to NBC Washington. http://news.yahoo.com/store-ignores-obvi...05594.html

The request caught Goldberg off guard: he is Takoma Park’s chief of police, and he was in uniform during his visit.

Yep. Funny how this officer makes exactly the same arguments against securing it in his vehicle.

I mean, you wouldn't want to carry a gun in a store that used slave labor to produce its Rölf bookcase or it's Glärugfen end tables... that would just be wrong.

I would laugh my ass off if Ikea stores started getting robbed left and right.

Hey, fair's fair. I respect LEO, but I mean "as long as he can have it it's ok" isn't one of my favorite mentalities. It's like how Hillary is ok with taking guns from everyone since her bodyguards can have it.

I applaud them. If they're gonna ban guns, ban them. Cops aren't special.

As someone that's been kicked out of IKEA because of my gun, though, I'll continue to never shop there.
