Right here: http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Strike-Any...B001PIEFOS

But I'm sure I bought a big box of them at my local grocery store a couple years ago.

The reviews are pretty bad.

Yeah, that's something the grocery store is lacking. Wink

I didn't even check the reviews on amazon.

Hard to find 'em in stores here, but a country called Canada, which often embarrases the US in the freedom department, has 'em everywhere.
I have purchased the Redbird ones for 50-cents a pack at hardware stores in Canada. The irony is, I think they're made in the USA.

Edit: I also get the Diamond strike-anywhere matches in Canadian grocery stores. I think they work fine.

They're still sold on the internet (example), just watch out for hidden shipping costs. I stopped in a Weiss market near Streaker's AO a few years ago, and bought about a half dozen boxes. I haven't emptied the first one yet.

There's ruminations on & off about the evils of these, it's mostly hype.

Check around in rural markets, hardware stores or even grocery stores.

From experience: a waterproof matchbox works better than dipping them in wax. You can find an old GI match container for a few dollars.

The strike anywhere matches aren't what they once were, and i haven't read anything good about the newest incarnation. Fortunately I purchased 10 or 12 boxes of the what was commonly available, until recently. I believe i will hoard them at least until I have a chance to try the newer ones.

I am almost out, few years ago a local store had three boxes. When I left, they left with me.

Wouldn't mind finding some more.
This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins. -Ben Franklin
