Subscribed threads?

Is there a way to set up so I automatically subscribe to a thread when I post in it or do I have to hit the subscribe button on every thread?

Go to your User CP, Edit Options, there is a "default subscription mode" drop down menu under messaging and notifications.

Thanks, but I'm looking for the way it works on the site that shall not be named when you open your User CP and the threads you have posted to show up.

I wasn't wanting emails, is this what this does?

Ah, yeah, that does emails. I guess a mod or admin will have to chime in, sorry I couldn't be of help.

If you go to "Edit Options" and look under "Messaging and Notification", at the bottom you will see "Default Thread Subscription Mode". There are three options:

"Do not subscribe"

"No email notification"

"Instant email notification"

Choosing the middle option should accomplish what you are trying to do.

I tried this but it only gives you the threads you started, not the ones you post in (like the other place). So nothing has changed.

Or am I doing something wrong?

I followed gnbrotz suggestion and it worked for me. I posted in a thread that another had started and the thread showed up in my cp. Only threads that I have posted in since I made the change shows up though.

Having said that, I just checked the cp and I am not subscribed to this thread so....... I don't know what's going on.
Everytime we look the other way when someone else loses rights we disagree with, we make it easier to lose the rights we support.

Is that all you did, what Greg posted up? Did you sign off then sign back on for it to work?

I'm doing something wrong, I guess.
