SWSA Tells Obama Voters to Pound Sand
#21
It's pretty obvious which "side" did more to divide the country, and continues to keep it divided. This guy's political statement is no more divisive, and probably less so, than many things the left has done and is still doing. Although it doesn't appear to be promoting unity it is making a point to show his political position and since this supposed to be a free country the First Amendment guarantees his right to make his opinion known in this manner.

As far as losing business, he's not going to be losing the business of 50% of the population, chances are that the majority of those who voted for Obama wouldn't be shopping in his store anyhow.

I have to admire the guy's willingness to risk losing some revenue from those who are offended because he voted for Obama as well as those who are offended because he took a stand and made his opinion known.

I would think he has more to be concerned about than losing a little bit of revenue to lost sales though. His real threat would be violence and retaliation from those of the "party of tolerance" who are offended by the fact that he has the guts to use his right to free speech to make a political statement that would most likely be unpopular with about half of the population.
There are three types of people in the world:
Those who make things happen,
Those who watch things happen,
And those who wonder what happened.

Bill Maher to whites:
Don't vote for the white guy because the black guys will find you.

Yep, nothing to see here...

The epitome of race baiting is the left.

The epitome of divisiveness is the left.

The epitome of hypocrisy is the left.

We need to be divided. Half of us want to be responsible adults the others want to steal our money.

And yet the left won. So... I guess the key to winning is... MORE DIVISIVENESS.

Yeah that's it. Dodgy

Does nobody else see the clever marketing here?

Sheesh. Some people have to make an issue where none exists.

When there is no apparent difference there is no reason to vote for the other side or for yours.

Obama ran on Us VS. Them.
"Rich" VS. "Poor"
Women VS. Mean White Religious Nuts.

Their surrogates in the media helped the Us VS. Them mantra right along.

They were and still are the party of divisiveness.

Yet they successfully mask it with Orwellian new-speak terms, like "tolerance," "fair share," and "level the playing field," etc., etc...

I'll give them credit for understanding where their base is. Champions of the underdog, the working class, the disenfranchised, etc., etc. They managed to sell the line that the GOP is nothing but a bunch of evil white folk who want to take away everything they have. The mean dad, so to speak.

They've played the takers to a tee. They also got enough wide eyed Great Society adherents to get on board with "spreading the wealth" even though it will be their wealth that gets spread. They honestly think we'll grow our way out of the morass just by taxing all those evil rich people.

Class envy is a powerful tool. I'm seeing middle class "friends" on facebook piling on the rage train against the owner of Papa John's, Applebee's, and a host of other businesses because they've talked about how they're going to have to find a way to cut costs with the Obamacare changes that will come on line in 2013. Now they're all gonna boycott those businesses and punish them for not giving everything to their workers. Sounds grand and noble, but those businesses will have to layoff workers as business declines.

They don't get it, but they're drinking the Kool-aid and loving every drop.

Divide and conquer. Nicely done.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

I don't care about the Us vs. Them because I voted Libertarian. I'm just eating the popcorn watching the extremists on both sides battling it out while Rome burns.

I think I've must have read over 30 conspiracy theories now on why Romney didn't win.

I knew Romney was doomed when he turned into Jan Brewer during the GOP primary war and going against immigration reform. (The whole Bush family knows that's a non-starter; why do y'all think GWB behaved the way he did during the 8 years he was prez).

Jesus Christ... the GOP lost the Cuban Vote for the first time EVER since the Bay of Pigs massacre. Out of all the different Hispanic minorities, the most faithful voting block to the GOP was that one. They took their fiesta and went back to la casa.

I got sick of the GOP back in 2004 when they decided to demonize the gays and step on us to lift themselves into office. Fuck that noise. I'm enjoying all of this, actually. It's a matter of time before the crazy ideologues are booted out of the party.

"The Party of Reagan" is not what the current GOP is. It will be at some point, but not until a lot of people are ejected from the party or leave in disgust.
