tazers for juveniles

I have a 13 year old daughter and I worry about her when walking from our house to her music lessons. She is to young to carry a gun but are tazers legal for her to carry for self defense? Not really sure what the laws are for a juvenile in Pa.

Tazers are considered Prohibited Offensive Weapons in PA. Unfortunately, pretty much any self-defense weapon other than a gun is illegal. I recommend giving her a giant flashlight.

ETA: Pepper spray is legal, but I wouldn't count on it being effective.

Kind of sad that adults are the only ones allowed to protect themselves.

Thanks...guess a walking stick would be considered a offensive weapon also.

In this day and age, who knows? Better than nothing I suppose until someone starts screaming about people walking around with sharp, pointy sitcks. Rolleyes

I guess those keychain kitties that have sharp ears "brass knuckles" are illegal too?

A pocket knife maybe in case of a kidnapping. I dunno. My 9 yo loves carrying a small pocket knife.

Self defense/fighting classes....? I knew a tiny Asian woman who clobbered a huge man over 6' tall in self defense using only her dog's leash and her black belt training in some sort of martial arts.

I know my daughter could take care of herself at home because she knows how to handle a handgun and the AR. I guess if she carries the flash light tazer and ever had to use it then the legel part I could deal with. Having her get hurt and having nothing to equal the odds would bother me more.
