Tense situations

I own several rental properties, and one of the joys of such endeavors is occasionally having to serve eviction notices. This obligation can range on the fun meter depending on how much i liked the tenantBig Grin

Anyway I have been doing this kind of thing for 11 years so it doesn't make me as nervous as it used to, but every time I knock on a tenants door and have to be the "bad" guy it gets the heart rate up. I do not oc during such activities because i do not want a tenant to say i;m trying to collect rent with the use of force. (that's a topic for another day). I cc owb in a paddle holster with shirt tail covering it. I knock on the door then take a few steps back to create some space between me and the door. at this point i put my right hand halfway in my pocket with my thump pointed up to snag my cover garment in case the shtf.

Just wondering does anyone else routinely have to do something that puts them on edge?

Thoughts?

I do investigations for my company. Part of this includes internal investigations that often result in me interviewing employees and then terminating them on the spot. I do it unarmed. I'm not too worried inside my work place of any violence, but I do leave work late at night sometimes and have to always be aware of my surroundings. All of the employees know what I drive too which kinda sucks.

I usually go to the bank/ATM a few times a month well after midnight. I cc due to the bank/ATM having security cameras on the premises but I can reach my handgun easily.

I am curious as to why the bank having security cameras makes you cc?

I get called into action by alphabet agencies from time to time. You see, I have a certain set of skills. Skills that I have acquired over time. Skills that cause problems for not so nice people.

I'm married. I sleep with one eye opened. Big Grin

My part of town is pretty bucolic, but there are places I go that automatically heighten my senses, some places downtown Harrisburg, spend a lot of time in downtown Scranton too. Gotta go where the good eats are.
Cool organizations I belong to...
Guns I own...
