Texas Gov. Rick Perry Indicted on Coercion Allegations

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a potential Republican candidate for president in 2016, was indicted Friday in an investigation into an effort to force a local official out of office. A grand jury in Austin handed up the indictment in a long-running investigation of Perry's threat to veto state funding to the Travis County Public Integrity Unit unless District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg resigned. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/texa...ns-n182051

What nonsense. Criminal charges for threatening to use a the line-item veto that he is well within his power as governor to use in order to get rid of a drunken scumbag DA. I'm no fan of Gov. Perry but this is complete bullshit.

I guess it really is possible to indite a ham sandwich.

Different situation. The generals worked for him and he fired them or accepted their resignations IMO not for political reasons but for insubordination. There are more than a few people he SHOULD have fired and did not (ie. Learner, Holder, Sebelius, Napolitano).
Perry called for this person to resign after she was convicted of drunk driving but was unable to remove her himself, so he vetoed a bill funding her department. She then assembled a grand jury of her supporters who indicted him in a kangaroo court. The felony indictment is frivolous and will go away, but the optics for the liberal media are priceless and the dismissal will be hidden on page 19.

.

This is the dash cam footage from the patrol car that pulled over Travis County D.A., Rosemary Lehmberg for DWI.

Here is the booking video when she was taken into custody

If drunk drivers didn't piss me off so much, I would LMAO at this video.

Just do what you're told, dumb ass. If you're not drunk, why can't you follow some simple directions?
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

Apparently, this county is a hotbed of political attacks by the Ultra-Dems who run it against any and all conservatives/republicans/tea partiers, etc...

And in a related note, Rob "Meathead" Reiner says that the Tea Party and HAMAS are the same thing and need to be eliminated. Add that to the new Battlefield game training our kids to kill Tea Partiers and it's time to go to Cabellas.

It seems the Marxists are stepping up the game.

Dems are terrified to lose the next election so the media is all about how great Hillary is and how bad Republican possibilities are.

Marxists are anti-gun except for the police and military. So long as enough of those paid attention to their oath to uphold the constitution, it should be pretty quickly resolved.

This is just a stunt by the DNC leveraging a politically dead politician to get a mug shot of Rick Perry to use against him in signs and attack ads in 2016. Personally, Tea Party or no Tea Party I don't trust Rick Perry as far as I can throw him, in his responses to things he sounds too much like the politicians we have today. I fear he would be a president much like Bush who just does what his handlers say and will read whatever paper is put in front of him.

How does this happen to a man who is invested in what he says and has made a life out of public speaking?

Either way what the Dems are trying to do here is transparent though.
