The "Kernel Kutter" is AWESOME!
This is not a paid endorsement, just my experience.

Every year we wind up with an abundance of sweet corn and we like to freeze dinner size bags of it. I've been using one of these old devices...

They work ok if you have a few ears to do but it's pretty slow. Also, I can't tell you how many times I've cut the palm of my hand on that thing.

This year, enough was enough and I got a Kernel Kutter with the drill attachment and let me tell you, It almost took longer to bag up the corn than it did to boil and cut the ears! We did up 8 dozen ears in about 45 minutes from start to finish.

We boiled the ears for 10 minutes, cut the kernels off into a large storage tote (they fling all over as you're cutting and the tote catches everything), bagged up the corn and we were done. The cutting tool is all steel and made in the USA. The drill attachment screws on the ears easily and tightly and only took 2-3 seconds to do the each ear.

I would HIGHLY recommend this tool if you're going to do a few bushels of sweet corn.

I think the ATF will classify that as a suppressor.
tolerance for failure meter... LOW
Awesome! We tried growing corn one year...didn't do well in our tiny garden. Love corn though....and those look gorgeous.
