The Law of Unintended Consequences

Maybe they could throw a bunch of reusable grocery bags over the panels.

While the price of solar panels has dropped and their efficiency has increased, the U.S. still lags behind countries like Germany, Japan and Spain among solar panel installations.

Perhaps the FD should see how they do it in other countries where solar energy is more popular.

I'm thinking that if you have a sloped roof, when your smoke detectors go off, it fires the explosive bolts and the panels disengage from their electrical system and then crash to the ground. Just in time for you to be exiting the home and have the smash into your head

In the case of flat roofs, each panel shall have a rocket engine to jettison it safely away from the building.

Here's one, and I think I found it a bit more hilarious than I should have...

Someone thought it was a good idea to save money on the recycling route and decided to purchase a truck that could be operated by only one person. Well, now they have to pay one guy to do twice as much work while they surely don't get everything before it blows away.

Unintended consequences? How about the fact that it takes me three flushes to get a turd to go down with a low flow toilet, as opposed to one flush with a regular toilet?

Dude. That was totally intentional. Whoever made the low flow toilet gets to feel good about doing good for the environment yet you actually use a 3rd more water to say goodbye to Mr. Brown keeping up the demand and need for water and creating scarcity so the system can perpetuate itself!

You wouldn't be able to run as many people over with that car if it didn't drive as far. It should only have a 10 gallon fuel tank.

Our toilet can flush a big bag full of golf balls down no problem - according to the demonstration we saw before buying it. My Dad is the size of a gorrilla. If we haven't clogged it in the past 6+ years we had it, then we probably never will.

The idea is that flushing when there aren't solids uses far less water, thereby actually saving water in the long run as solids are not flushed nearly as often.

Yes.. I laughed far too much at the stupidity of that design.

I bet Ralph Nader won't have a comment.

But it's a "green car", it couldn't possibly be unsafe.

But they're still saving money, the trash jobs I've had were all paid salary, no matter how long (or short) you worked you made a set amount of pay for the day.
