Are Thermold Ar-15 30-round Mags any good?

Some love them, some hate them.

I have 4. They won't hold up to a truck driving over them. But for the price, they work great.

I keep mine loaded in the closet, no issues with using them later.

Some I the older ones had a melting problem under "sustained" fire. But they changed the plastic, and after doing mag dumps they show no sign of distress.

For the price, I am all for them. I just ordered a few c products steel mags. Figure I will give them a try too.

But I am all for thermold mags.

Thanks, that's good enough for me. I just ordered 9 of them for $7.95/each. With shipping, my total was $84.13.

FYI all of their prices are within a dollar or so of normal pricing - for now.

Not buying more mags unless I find something too good to pass up.

Typically I never cave into "panic buying", but I just bought my AR-15 last September and only have 1 mag for it. I figured I better buy 9 more mags now for that price in case a) AR-15 mag prices go up and NEVER fall down, and/or b) a high capacity mag ban takes effect. My "panic buying" is now done.

CDNN has the 20 rounders for 6 bucks. I picked up 10 before sharing them with you. Tongue

Figured for 6 bucks, they're worth at least having for the range.

I did the same thing before posting the Ammo To Go link too. Big Grin

By the way, the deal below isn't too bad either.

Yeah they are selling by the case too, which would bring em down to 4 bucks each. I wonder if we could get enough people to do a group buy on the case?

On the 30 rounders? Or the 20? Either way, I would be in for 5-10
