Some of the arrows are confusing, believe it or not.

Let me get this straight....

~Person D gives Fattah $1,000,000
~NASA gives educational grant to non-profit (former aide)
~non-profit gives money to tech company (former aide's spouse)
~tech company gives money to another company
~Person D gets paid from 2nd company

does that sum it up?

If he's not in prison he'll still get elected. If he is it's 50-50.
Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.

Yup. It's actually more complicated than this simplified version (it's libel-free simplification). There was more than one grant source, but NASA was a significant one for EAA.

And Fattah also "JUST HAPPENS" to sit no the Appropriations Subcomittee that oversees NASA's budget in the U.S. House, and EAA was launched by Fattah. That explains why NASA was giving a Fattah non-profit money.

There's also a second non-profit in the mix that's unidentified in the plea bargain that was involved in the removal of $100K off the $600,000 loan balance that was repaid, in order to shunt that $100K over to Fattah Jr.'s student loan debts. The plea deal says those funds originated from the Sallie Mae Fund, which also gives money to EAA. The plea deal says Chaka was the one who set up this arrangement and did the transaction (BUSTED!!!).

The CTO for Company 1 noticed the weird transactions and objected to them while Company 2 was busy forking over a contract to Company 1. The contract didn't actually get signed until after Fattah Jr's apartment at the Ritz-Carlton was raided by the FBI.

So they were still trying to cover this shit up while the FBI had already know about the sins of Fattah's son.

Both EAA and Company 2 also falsified their bookkeepping and income tax returns about the transactions.

I had never heard of this guy before so I looked him up
His "real" name is Arthur Davenport but he changed it to Chaka Fattah.
He is not a Muslim but a Baptist, so heaven knows why he changed his name to a girl's name and an Iranian village.
He has won the seat in his Philadelphia district by getting 86-89% of the vote each time since 1994. So one can infer he represents thousands of low information voters.
Despite his egregious campaign funding violations, he has a long way to go to swim down to depths of the big hitters like Charlie Rangel, but he is certainly cut from the same moldy cloth.

I love how none of the Democrats hold Obama responsible for the continued and further devastation of NASA, especially when the Democratic party is supposed to be a friend to the scientific community more than the Republicans. We clearly need more fucking food stamps and medicaid for the morbidly obese instead of more high tech jobs that motivate kids into stem careers. Oh, but I see we're spending NASA funds on Muslim outreach instead of wrangling asteroids into earth orbit so we will someday have a limitless supply of rare earth minerals. If we're going to waste tax payer money on anything I'd just as soon spend it furthering mankind than on another endless war that does nothing but create more enemies for the US. Democrats? Republicans? Again, I find it hilarious some of you guys actually believe this pro-wrestling match is for real. Both parties are different means to the same end. The dead cold war presidents must be rolling in their fucking graves knowing us astronauts can't get into space without the Russians. I suppose we should be glad though, I can't think of a federally funded single public works or research project that has not been either massively over-budget and or been a complete failure or been obsolete by the time the project is completed. We are so pathetic anymore, there is no excuse.

So the question is how do we make sure that the local MSM sees this and buries him. I know they won't, but R or D, the MSM loves a good scandal.

Even if they did this would only get like one day of play in the news cycle. The scandal there literally one a day anymore.

While Fattah didn't get asked a single question about the scandal by Al Sharpton, author Solomon Jones on his FIRST DAY at WURD-AM (Philly's AM talk radio station that has a large black audience)... interviewed Fattah.

Jones was formerly Fattah's campaign press secretary.

Listen to him grill his former boss on the air with direct questions and Fattah squirms and starts to fall apart:

I don't know if WURD pays attention to its ratings, but I think Jones taking the morning spot and with Fattah in a pickle == he's gonna replace Michael Smerconish as Philly's talking bald head and WURD, at least while this scandal plays out, will have a much larger white audience than usual.

The Philly blogosphere and the two local dailies are not letting go of the Fattah story.

Local pols are already trying to postulate who will replace him:
http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politi...esign.html

Quote:He has not been charged with any crime, and the plea memo summarizing the wrongdoing of his onetime top aide does not even name him.

Even so, some political leaders around Philadelphia already are talking about potential replacements for Rep. Chaka Fattah - a.k.a. "Elected Official A" - just in case the federal corruption investigation that has reached the Democrat's inner circle eventually forces him from office.

They can't help themselves. It's how politics works.

Among the names under discussion are Mayor Nutter, District Attorney Seth Williams, State Sen. Vincent Hughes, City Council President Darrell L. Clarke, City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell, and William Green, chairman of the School Reform Commission and a former councilman.

I was hoping Drudge would pick this up but all they did was a very small mention in the side column. They're not gonna go big unless a grand jury is called out and an indictment comes down like what happened with his son.

The election is in November... I presume the FBI will want to start this either right before Election Day or shortly after it, which would force Corbett to call a special election and the local Democrats go into a cycle of backstabbing each other trying to field the party nomination for the runoff.

The most likely replacement for Fattah would be Vincent Hughes or Nutter.

Hughes has a problem--a past arrest for a liquor code violation that will not look good on MSM TV interviews. (http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.s..._some.html)

Nutter would be coming off the wind of two successful mayoral terms, virtually drama-free and survived the great recession mostly unscathed; and because the state owns the school system he can easily deflect any blame for the decrepit state of the city's public schools.

By default this is the black congressional seat so the DCC would never dare field a white candidate when the labor unions already have Bob Brady in the other seat and Boyle in the NE, also Irish white and union.

Interestingly enough Chakka's current Republican opponent is a teacher. Also black. WURD is going to interview him next week on-air. He already has my vote (in sprit) in November (I live in Brady's district).
