UN Approves Arms Trade Treaty
Neither the UN or it's treaties trump the Constitution.

So to answer your question, mostly harmless, no, nothing like that is going to happen. It's not even authorized in the treaty anyway.

Be that as it may, I oppose us involvement, as I oppose our involvement in the un altogether.

Won't this treaty effect the price of imported guns/ammo even IF the senate doesn't ratify it?

Sure. China and Russia won't ratify it, so they can export anything they want. Nobody who ratifies the treaty can import their stuff though, so they lose a lot of customers.

Not ratifying the treaty makes the US not only their biggest, but virtually their only customer.

Maybe that treaty isn't so bad after all.

Well seeing as how SCR7 had 33 sponsors and ratifying a treaty requires a 2/3 vote in the Senate I have to agree there's no way in god's green earth that they will ratify it.... considering the empty seats in the Senate just those 33 nay's are enough to kill it.
