Evidently the mall was plastered with them on every entrance.
The law? The law is a human institution...

They'll certainly blame the AR-15, but with two dead, a brick or a baseball bat would have been more effective than that.

So, say someone entered the mall carrying concealed, not giving a crap about the signs, was there when this happened and was able to shoot and kill the guy with the rifle....

Thoughts on any potential ramifications for the good citizen who shot the bad guy?

They are reporting it as a murder suicide, as supposedly the gunman shot himself.

I was thinking about this myself... My biggest concern would be the police coming in and killing the good guy Confused

Typical HuffPo group-think:

Quote:1. Military style weaponry should never be sold or the general public shouldn't have access to them..
2. Let's please be mature adults and have a reasonable discussion regarding weapons..
3. Before anyone thinks of screaming about the Constitution and the 2nd amendment -- it is outdated-- its intention was to arm a militia because we didn't have a standing army-- which we have now and a police force..
Yeah I know it is your right it says it in the Constitution-- a living document that was designed to change-- and that document also states we aren't suppose to maintain that standing army... I don't hear you screaming about that one..

The stupid, it burns!!

hope a gun rights person is over there replying..military style weaponry we don't have access to...military look alikes sure...but than again replace AR15 with a 30 caliber semi-auto hunting rifle of your choice, or a lever action gun and the outcome would have been similar, just less shots fired, but with potentially more deaths due to the larger caliber and if it was someone who actually knew how to shoot.

Fortunately, except for a few small pockets of liberal asshattery, it appears that most of the rest of the country isn't buying into the anti-gun rhetoric anymore. I say that based on the backlash over the Costas thing, and people I know turning to guns more and more BECAUSE of stuff like this..., including a liberal hipster Oregonian friend of mine. Ask my advice on his first gun for his WIFE and himself last night.

Brings a tear to my eye.
