I'm also waiting for the day when they start giving me forms to put people on the mental health check list. I got quite a few clients that would make Rambo nervous that shouldn't have access to a firearm...

Explain this, what exactly happens with those who live in Constitutional Carry states like Arizona, Alaska and Vermont?

Start early.... Stop handing out drugs to little kids like candy..... Prevention is key. Once they are old enough to have a gun and a mental problem it's too late because their brains have already been fried since kindergarten. But yet it's not that easy because many kids are on drugs as a replacement for good parenting, Sad.

You cant believe they want to solve the problem. The whole point here is that they just want to control YOU. And pander to their base. They don't want to control the "mentally Bill". This is a big game, you can think that they have your interests in mind, they do not, repeat they do not. The whole thing is a sham to get your guns. There's no other part of the story.

When Johnny Gangbanger gets one strike and he's out, then you know they really want to solve the ROOT CAUSE.
Otherwise it's just a power grab, all of it. The same old shit, different year.
Agree to NOTHING.

Well no kidding, I'm just talking hypothetically here. Of course it will never happen, but then again neither will all of congress resign.

I can see republicans and most gun owners going for this.

I mean who cares if we fuck some innocent citizens out of their rights so long as it doesn't mess with the rest of us?

I mean there is no chance that down the road the feds could change the background requirements to pass a NICS check if you want a carry permit....rightDodgy

BTW if this passed we still will have to pass a pics check.

Of course, but it wouldn't really be two separate checks, they already do a NIC's check when you call in at the PIC's call center. So nothing would change in regards to FFL sales.

Which was my point. So gun owners in Pa that think they won't need a check because they have a ltcf are mistaken.

Have the politicians explain which of the shootings they like to use as examples for needed gun control would have been stopped by mandatory gun registration laws.

Then have them explain that since "NONE" is the answer, why they don't do something to actually prevent shootings instead of passing feel good legislation that wouldn't have stopped a single one of these shootings.

The first thing to accept is that politicians and the government cannot fix, and has never fixed, problems. Government only restricts the ability to exercise ones rights and privileges.

Once we stop looking to the government and begin to take personal accountability and responsibility for our actions and lives we can begin the search for answers. None of which include the restriction of rights and privileges of an individual for the actions of another.
