VA COPS WERE REFUSED RESTAURANT SERVICE BECAUSE OF THEIR GUNS

WELLLLLL, at first when I read this I was going to rail against the server for upholding the COMPANY POLICY and refusing to serve the Cops.

After thinking about it though, I am very happy this incident came to light.

- It shows the absurdity of ANTI-OC policies in businesses
- It shows Cops what OTHER LAW ABIDING CITIZENS - LIKE THEM (presumably) - have to deal with while acting as LAW ABIDING CITIZENS

I am actually glad these Cops had to go through this crap!!! NOT that it will make much of a difference in the minds of the Anti's OR the way Cops view OC'ers.....

Quote:‘JUST ABSURD’: VA COPS WERE REFUSED RESTAURANT SERVICE BECAUSE OF THEIR GUNS

Police officers in Manassas, Virginia, captured some media attention over the past few days after reportedly being refused restaurant service — because they were armed. The eight cops were on-duty, but were said to be in plain clothes.

According to media reports, when they were approached by a server at Buffalo Wild Wings who saw their guns on display, the worker purportedly told the officers that the establishment was a gun-free zone

“There is no reason why those officers should have been asked to leave … police officers are always welcome in my establishment and even though we do have a no gun policy, as a company that excludes off duty police officer,” a portion of Lupton’s e-mail response read. “As a company we are community oriented. We appreciate everything that police officers do for us.”

AMAZING HOW WHEN A COP IS ARMED, EVERYONE FEELS SAFE...But when a citizen is armed - all hell is going to break loose.

Quote:This situation mirrors another incident that unfolded earlier this year when officers at a Denny’s Restaurant in Illinois faced similar backlash for bringing guns inside the establishment.

Does this mean they allow off-duty officers with guns as a policy? The grammar isn't clear in the quote.

Because off-duty cops are the same as anyone else off-duty from their job....

BTW how much training do cops actually get with guns, shooting, and self defense, during school?
