VOTING FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS

And forfeiting several others in the process. Romney supports the Patriot act and wiretapping. Romney said he would have signed NDAA. That lets the military arrest you and hold you in prison indefinitely without trial if they "suspect" you of being a terrorist. How much good will your "AWBs" do you when the military legally carries you away because you have more than one week's worth of food in your house, or more ammo than they think a person should have?

Voting for a leader who tells you he's ok with that happening is telling him that you're ok with it happening.

Obama supports and expands all those things as well. So the way I see it, even if Obama and Romney are equal on all those things, the scale still tips in Romney's favor because of the AWB.

And voting for a guy who can not and will not win does what exactly? Makes you feel good? That's swell for you, but me... I prefer to deal with reality. Reality is that I want to stop the guy who openly said he wants to curb my 2A rights. Beating him and stopping his gun grab will make me feel good.

That's ok.... you guys go vote for RP and GJ. We conservatives will save the country and preserve what freedoms you currently enjoy.

Go ahead. . . cry, pout, and whine about how much big government sucks and then when given the chance to block a liberal's vote for the most authoritarian president in history you won't lift a finger.

If you won't stand up against Obama, the man who wants to destroy American values of strength and individual freedom, no problem. Plenty of us will. We'll do it without you.

I'm thinking long-term. I'm trying to win the war, not sacrificing long-term gains for short-term payout. The next presidential election may be a close race. It would be nice if the parties could look back and see that in this election, 4-7% of people voted for a man who stood up for liberty. In a close race, both side will ideally court that untapped base by incorporating these ideas. I don't think a 3p candidate can win, but I think it will get us better D and R parties down the road.

If this year is a blowout, or it turns out that PA doesn't matter, why not show the parties that they need to start talking about freedom to get your vote? If it doesn't matter, why side with either of the people who want the military to be able to detain you indefinitely?

OhBlowMe and his minions will pull out every stop to get him re-elected, they know this is their best chance at changing America. Don't make his job easier by lowering our chances at defeating him.

2008 I voted for him because McCain wants the government to have absolute control over the people (censor the internet, drafted NDAA), and wanted to put a harpy cheerleader one missed heartbeat from the nuke codes. I still think it was the right decision. We'd have lost far more freedoms under McCain if he survived it, and we'd probably be living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland if he didn't. It was the Republican party's failure to put up a decent candidate that got Obama my vote in 2008.

He's lied about his promises, signed NDAA, TPA, etc, and I'm not going to reward him with a second term for that. I'm sure as hell not going to vote for another guy who would have done the same things.

Sorry, Val.

IMO Obama re-election is still almost certain.
