DENVER (AP) — Gov. John Hickenlooper signed bills Wednesday that place new restrictions on firearms and signaled a change for Democrats who traditionally shied away from gun control debate in Colorado - a state with a moderate streak and pioneer tradition of gun ownership and self-reliance.

Hickenlooper's signature of the bills comes exactly eight months after dozens of people were shot in a movie theater in suburban Denver, and on the same day as the executive director of the state's Corrections Department was shot and killed at his home.

More nausea here.

Colorado is really being ruined, like CA and NY. Its sad too, because its an amazing state.

Guess you better stick to Wyoming, Idaho, or Montana. Rapid City, SD where I used to live isn't bad either!

I'd totally move back out west if given opportunity. Makes me nervous living on the East Coast for several reasons, even after 10 years of being here.

I suspect this will be challenged in court and defeated. Stay tuned.

I think you'd like Idaho, Montana, Utah or Wyoming just as well.

Regardless whether you think it can happen in PA, what happens if it does?

My wife and I moved to PA from Colorado for work reasons.

We were planning to retire in Colorado.

That plan has now been canceled. I will no longer buy from Colorado based businesses, or spend my vacation time there.

Quite serious about it. As I emailed their idiot governor.

The Californians have ruined Colorado. Californians seem to ruin everything they touch.
