.500 S&W Magnum

This video is truly magnificent! The Smith & Wesson 500 Magnum is one of the most high-powered handguns a person can buy.

I have a friend out in Chicago that owns a S&W 500. If he could conceal carry it he would. He's damn accurate with it too. I've seen him nail targets 50 feet out at the indoor range and hit the 10 ring every time. Another time he brought it out was to an outdoor range. About 100 feet out he's hitting the steel. Iron sights only. I've tried firing it. 5 shots. Never again.

If it wasn't for the size and weight of the thing the recoil wouldn't be manageable. I bought my BFR long before these came out or I'd like to have one...just can't bring myself to turn the BFR loose to get one.

I believe what you say about accuracy. I had a Redhawk with a Leupold scope and it was extremely accurate unfortunately my right wrist is disabled and I sold it, I couldnt handle the recoil anymore. Is recoil why you dont like his 500?

The one my friend has is a 6". Even a raging bull doesn't compare to this thing.

I think the only thing nastier to shoot than a 4 inch 500 is a 45/70 derringer.

Ouch! My BFR is 45/70...I coun't imagine that in a derringer...I think I'd actually take a pass on shooting one.
