What Ammo Will You Not Buy Again?
#1
I keep a log on ammo.
Just some general 'stuff' like groups, any failures, price.
Before going to gun shows I'll check the list of what not
to buy.
I will not buy again: SAPSAN, Russian- .380acp 92gr $20.00 box 50
They jammed in Sig238 / RugerLCP / Bersa Thunder .380

Bought 1k of Herter's 9mm steel cased ammo for practice. Stuff was a disaster on my wife's 3913 and my Hi Power. Got it from Cabella's and never again.....

The white box Federal target loads in 45acp. They are the dirtiest loads I have ever shot. My cases came out black. They were so bad that a guy at the range with me shooting steel cased russian ammo made a comment about them. I had two cases in one box with primers that were jammed in sideways.
The law? The law is a human institution...

.45acp Remington UMC. I shot a box of 50 out of my Glock 30. That was some of the dirtiest ammo I ever shot and my hands and forearms were covered in tons of specks of gun powder.

PMC 9mm or .380. last time I bought them, a dozen rounds wouldn't fire. After pulling the bullets it looks like the anvil was missing from about half the primers, and the others just didn't work. I've yet to have an issue with their rifle rounds, but I don't like paying for handgun rounds that are useless.

I'd avoid Tula rifle ammo as well, but it's just so cheap that i don't mind that there's a ton of bullet flashing around the case mouth or that every eighth round has a creased case. For some reason it shoots just fine in my AR.

After Remington UMC in both 9mm and .40 caused multiple FTFs/FTEs in four different 2nd/3rd Gen Glock pistols, I gave up on it entirely.

Tula .380

Jams, FTE, and 7!! duds out of a 50 round box. The stuff was so dirty it fouled my LCP in 25 rounds.
