what do post Christmas gun sales look like?

if I buy after Christmas, am I missing the bulk of the deals?

should I stick to the used market where people are selling off last years toys that got replaced by Santa?

It's tough to say. My local dealers are flush with new and used inventory, so I think deals will be had post Christmas as well.

It's an interesting contrast, to see ace's cases overflowing, compared to two years ago.

I hope the deals flow into the new year, I was planning on an AR this year for myself but I have other priorities which prevent it. "Fun Times" because I've planned for this new AR about 4 times now to mark some fairly significant life events but...oh well Smile

I'm thinking March or so things should slow down a bit. Of course, I'm sure SOMETHING else will come up, because...hey...camper wants a new gun Wink

I really really really want a P238 with pearl grips and engraved slide. I don't think those ever go on sale though, huh.... maybe at tax return time.

I sold my LCP and then never had enough cash to go through with getting the P238.

After Christmas there will still be plenty of guys still trying to sell the AR15s they bought during the panic. You know - the ones they're asking $1,000 for that you can buy new for $579 now - new.

There's a bunch of toys I want too, but if I buy a new toy before I buy an engagement ring, then I'm in a lot of trouble. Blush

Hahahaha..... Cute. :-)

Well you could buy a new toy because you needed a creative way to present the ring at the range.....?

PSA is still having daily deals.

The money you save HERE could be put to use THERE.

She got me a Civil War era Enfield rifle for Xmas so I really can't complain. My birthday and Xmas are close to each other so she usually ends up financing my next gun purchases anyways. For Xmas this year I got us a private "modern" cabin in Gettysburg from a Thursday to Sunday.

I think NEXT January we're going to start looking at houses. You can still find an old 3 or 4 bedroom farm house with 5-8 acres of land for $250-300k.
