What do you plan on buying in 2017
#1
Do you have a specific gun or piece of gear you plan on buying in 2017? Maybe you have a build planned. Whatever it is post 'em up here.

The only definite thing I have planned is a .22 pistol. I am leaning towards the S&W Victory with the threaded barrel. I think there is a good chance we may see small game semi-auto hunting and there is a possibility that some sort of relief on buying suppressors is coming.

A secondary acquisition may be parts for an AR build. I like where prices seem to be going. I could afford to purchase a complete gun but I think I could get more value if I wait on good parts to go on sale. Not to mention the satisfaction of taking on a project that I have never attempted and doing it to completion.

No planned gun buys. I need to scope and/or accessorize what I have already. Especially triggers, I want better triggers where I can get them.

A few spots down on my possible list is a better trigger for my Ruger p89 if they even make one.

I like my rifles at 4.5 pounds so they are still good for carry in the woods but light enough for fine shooting at the range. Certain rifles, my eyes can't see the sights that well anymore. I'll experiment with that where I can but it's getting to the point that I might need an optic if I don't have my glasses with me. AR style post sights are as clear as day. The Marlin brass bead sights are becoming a problem, especially on the 1963 Western Auto Revelation 200 I have.

Pistols, I like a lighter double action/striker fired trigger but not so light that I might have a problem in court. Say about 6 pounds. I'm not touching my 1911, it's perfect right where it's at.

I like the fairly heavy double action pull as I carry with the safety off. I just hate the ton of take up in single action. [/i]

I'm planning on finishing out the lowers I have. 9mm build is in the beginning stages, and a 458 build is in the planning phase. Other than that I don't really have any needs. I think I might take a break from modern guns" for a while after my builds and maybe pick up some more revolvers/milsurps this year.

Put a P95 trigger in it, that's my setup and I think you'll be pleased with it. Google it and there's lot's of how to.

I just ordered a lower for a 9mm build, that may be it for this year. Shrug

I'm hoping to restock on ammo. Hopefully with the scare of Hillary gone we'll see prices fall again and more inventory in stock.

That is what I have read. Quite a few people have done it and said it is amazing how much better the gun is. I may try it.

This is a very good idea. I think I will buy a box or two to "put up" whenever I see a decent price.
