Title asks it. I think the PrviPartizan is the best bang for your buck. You?

About a year ago, I bought a ton of Federal XM193F ammo. I have been using that since and I love it. Not sure about best value, it was just the best price I could find that was available at that time.

Just so I know is it true that the x means it was rejected by the .gov or QC?

Maybe. One thing is for sure. It is illegal for you to buy recent M193 (no X), because Clinton made it illegal to sell US Military surplus ammo to civilians.

I've shot about 20,000 rounds of various XM193 over the past few years and never had a single problem with it.

Not sure, never heard that before. Shot some of the tightest groups I have ever shot with that ammo. No failures with it either. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a pallet of it.

Good info guys. Thank you. I read some where about the X mark but I guess it wasnt true. Maybe thats a way to legally sell to the public put an X on it.

Some people on Barfcom have tested it from time to time and every once in a while it did not meet the milspec in one way or another. It always met my-spec.

Years ago there was a lot more trouble with XM855 for whatever reason. From around 2005 to 2007 I think.

Not sure I have a favorite ammo, but I have a .223 load I like. 55gr FMJ sitting on top of 25 grains of Varget does wonderful in my Colt HBAR Delta Elite with a 1/9 twist. I typically buy whatever brass cased ammo I can find cheapest. (Federal, American Eagle, whatever) then after I fire it once I turn it into something I know my gun loves.

If you don't mind spending a little more for bullets try this combo.
Bullet - Barnes 50g gernade
Powder - 23.5g H322
Primer - Federal 205m small rifle
Case - Remington Brass
COL 2.255
Use the Lee factory crimp die too
I have never loaded a better combo for the 1:9 twist rate in any barrel length @ 100yds.
