One suggestion I have is lobbying to have any legislation that reinstates an AWB and high capacity magazine ban that applies to the public also be applied to the federal government.

Why should the FBI, DHS, Secret Service, Capitol Police, etc. be entitled to any firearm that citizens cannot have?

If we can't have semi-automatic weapons with high capacity magazines, why should they have them?

It is up to the White House and Congress to lead by example, wouldn't you say?

This sounds like a good addition to any legislation that they might propose.

The Second Amendment does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not infringe our right.

Any Bill can be amended to include such language.

If the Obama and the Democrats are serious about protecting the public from gun violence then they should have no problem agreeing to such an amendment to any Senate or House Bill.

They believe in the idea of "The Greater Good" which is essentially a doctrine of the ends justifying the means.

If they are made exempt from rules and laws, why...it's only because they need to be in order to ensure that the public is protected from themselves.

You really think a group of politicians who get a guaranteed retirement after serving 1 day in office (greater than any other public employee working a 40+ year career) would subject themselves to the same rules and regulations they require of everyone else?

Anti gunners contend that "assault weapons", & hi cap mags are unnessessary. They're not needed.

Just because you want something doesn't mean the government should allow you to have it. Now lets carry that to the next logical wave of ban(s):

The speed limit on interstates is 65 or 70mph. You don't need a car that goes faster than that, so all vehicles will be required to have a governor installed, (At your expense of course), so they can't exceed that. Speed kills, right?

You have a big house? You don't need all that space that. Crack Mom living in the projects with 8 kids needs it. Give it up for the greater good.

Examples of this kind of madness can go on & on. Once the libtards get their foot in the door, the possibilities are endless.

Is anyone still in doubt whether BHO has his heart set on tyranny?
If you do, this time 2013 you definitely won't.

Even you hard core supporters will realize you've been duped.

The thing people don't realize is that gun control is all about controlling people, not about guns.

Historically, when firearms are taken from the people, the people end up 6' under with a tyrannical government putting them there.

I am all for an amendment requiring the .gov to comply with all federal laws pertaining to firearms, and the ability for any citizen to be able to inspect any armory at any time to ensure compliance.

Congress apply the laws to themselves? You're kidding right? Congress sees itself as better than you. They alone are smart enough to make decisions for you. Only they can handle the responsibility of owning guns. It's much too dangerous for peons such as yourself.
