When is your home not your castle?

When you live in Caliphornia, of course.

Quote:“The homeowner, the citizen, has to be able to articulate or apply the appropriate amount of force that was done against them,” Ontario Police Sgt. David McBride told NBC Los Angeles, later adding that Manzano was unarmed at the time of the shooting.

Thomas Gilbert Manzano, 24, forced his way into the California residence at around 3 a.m. on Monday, according to police. Manzano had been drinking alcohol for several hours with a friend when they decided to break into an apartment they thought was vacant. They had reportedly been squatting in one of the apartments but got confused as to its location.

Manzano was first turned away from the apartment, but he allegedly threatened the resident and forced his way into the home through a bedroom window and then went after the resident’s adult son. Police say the suspect threatened the son and a physical altercation ensued.

That, or any state that has property taxes.

“The homeowner, the citizen, has to be able to articulate or apply the appropriate amount of force that was done against them,”

So basically you have to meet a criminals force with equal force letting them take control of the situation.

If I were a crook in California I would carry a mace! Nobody owns maces anymore therefore would not be able meet me with equal force and would just have to take the beating I administered. And people think maces are obsolete. Wink

I knew there was a reason I moved out of CA. I just couldn't remember what it was.

Dang! Oh yeah... it's cause the state is going to hell in a handbasket! Shucks, thanks for reminding me!

You wouldn't be able to run as many people over with that car if it didn't drive as far. It should only have a 10 gallon fuel tank.

You know... the CA and NJ legislatures are just like Spaceball One... full of Assholes.

Does it make me a bad person to wish for very bad things to happen to the people who make and enforce these bullshit laws? You can bet your ass if the arresting officer had been the victim, he'd be praised as a hero, and most likely be promoted.

You know what? Fuck em. Every single person who values their life and liberty should flee these states.

They are. More businesses leave CA everyday. People are voluntarily moving with the jobs to states like TX that are more business and liberty friendly.

I will tell you one thing though. CA gun owners are REALLY into their guns! And you can get a CCW there, its just very subjective and depends on the county you live in. Its kind of like how if you live in Philly here, you get the runaround, but a lot of the rest of the state its not a problem. In CA though getting denied and the runaround is the rule and not the exception.

That said, this stuff is contagious. Just being this close to NJ I think is a risk of contamination coming across the Delaware. Anyway to support people in these states who do believe in their rights (no matter how corruptly restricted they are), should be done. If you have a 10 round magazine to sell someone in NY, NJ or CA, do it!

How do you think the folks in the states that the Californians are moving to feel? They've already seen what happened in Colorado.
