City to evict woman for living "off the grid"

http://www.fox4now.com/features/4inyourc...94961.html

Quote: It was just a matter of time before the City of Cape Coral caught up with her. We first told you about Robin Speronis last month... and her alternative lifestyle, called Living Off the Grid. She lives without running water or electricity -- by choice. But her off-the-grid home is now on the radar of Cape Coral code enforcement.

"I'm going to bring this to the attention of anyone who will listen until justice is served," Robin Speronis tells 4 In Your Corner's Liza Fernandez as both sit outside her home.

And Speronis says -- what the City of Cape Coral did the day after the story about her "Off the Grid" lifestyle aired in November is -- unjust.

There's so much fail in this report, it's difficult to decide what pisses me off more:

1) Nameless, faceless, bureaucrat cites a "international" law to act on a US citizen

2) Cited "law" is not actually being violated

3) The fact that the city cannot fathom that someone in their right mind would chose to do w/o all the conveniences or modern life

4) Property owner who has no mortgage or tax liens cannot occupy their own house on a unproven accusation.

4) The fact that the city assumes anyone not living w/ modern conveniences must be a whack-job living in their own excrement and therefore must stop said whackadoo from harming themselves.

5) A lawyer is the hero in the story

6) I can't see the reporters tits.

Just like the guu that lived in a trailer built a slant to and pooped in a bucket that got hosed and finally shot the morons that wouldn't leave him alone. While I don't agree with the shooting he did. I understand it perfectly. If this woman killed the moron inspector I wouldn't care or cry for him.

If that was the real story about Rockne I would agree but since it isn't and you are clueless about the criminally insane Rockne Newell I don't. One of the deceased was a friend and I know first hand how this nut job was treated. The guy who tackled him Bernie is also a friend and it's too bad he didn't take Rockne's firearm and finish him.
The thing about rights is that once those rights affect other people's rights they tend to end.

The women in Florida appears to be sane, intelligent and her house both inside and out is maintained and sanitary so in her case I agree. I owned a house near Louise Moore park and when the township went to city water I was forced to hook up and inspectors made sure my well was only hooked to my 2 outside faucets. I couldn't afford to fight them.

...and yet every year, thousands of idiots tourists travel to Lancaster County to see an entire group of people living very much the same way.

I guess if she had a horse and buggy, no one would care about her.

They won't let me take my buggy on I-95. So much for "freedom of travel".

PLease tell us how him shitting in a bucket and having some junk on his land affects anyone? It doesn't. Meglomaniacs pushed him too far and while I don't like his end result, it's a good warning to respect the sanctity of a person private property even if you don't like the car that's up on blocks.
