I wasn't on the theme of anything. I wasn't arguing that differences prevent cohesion. I was responding to someone who was demonstrating a personal inability to cooperate with a person of differing opinions. Get over the weak attempts at personal attacks and focus on the points. I'm not hyper-sensitive either. Offering clarification isn't indicative of hyper-sensitivity. You weren't calling me out for a poor choice of words. You were focusing on one sentence fragment and willfully taking it out of context and completely ignoring the meaning of the post in exchange for creating conflict over nothing. There you go again, saying no rational person could defend, making personal attacks on anyone who may disagree with you. How about this, when you want to have a reasonable conversation about a topic; do that. I'm done playing around with your weak attempts at personal jabs while completely ignoring the points and contents of my posts. You're wasting both of our time. You did the miss the point, and you just proved it. You

You think anyone who disagrees with you or challenges your ridiculous assertions is making a personal attack. If you're going to take positions in a political sub-forum you should probably put your big boy pants on.

You didn't directly challenge any of my assertions or positions. That's my point.

No challenges whatsoever. Just personal comment after personal comment after personal comment without a single sentence directly responding to anything in my post.

Quote:You think anyone who disagrees with you or challenges your ridiculous assertions is making a personal attack.
My argument:
Plenty of people disagree with me without personal attacks, Justin_Hemi disagrees with me on everything and we only personally attack each-other about half of the time. You see, that's a reasonable, and logical argument against your statement. Your statement, however, was yet another personal attack on my person and not an argument related to the topic of discussion.

Notice how I didn't need to make a personal statement about you in order to present my argument. My argument is equally relevant and valid regardless of who the arguer may be. Now, you try it. You see, arguments are much more persuasive and effective when they're completely separated from personal commentary.
