WOMEN DON’T NEED GUNS FOR SELF-DEFENSE, JUST TELL MEN ‘NOT TO RAPE WOMEN’

I guess her steadfast hatred of guns will not let her even consider that guns have a purpose in protecting women. It is not so much that she comes right out and says this......she just continues harping on train the men not to rape.

And at 1:43 she says that if firearms were the answer, the military would be the safest place for women.

Since when were women permitted to daily carry when not in combat I ask you?

AND she finishes with "Tell men not to rape".

WHY IS SHE SO ADVERSE to taking her protection into her own hands. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY!

Quote:DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST’S SHOCKING CLAIM: WOMEN DON’T NEED GUNS FOR SELF-DEFENSE, JUST TELL MEN ‘NOT TO RAPE WOMEN’

Democratic Strategist Zerlina Maxwell argued that preventing rape should start by simply “telling men not to rape women.” She was arguing against women using guns as a means of self-defense when she made the questionable remarks.

“We can prevent rape by telling men not to commit it,” Maxwell said, repeating the same bizarre claim.

Instead, Maxwell, who is a rape survivor herself, said she wants women to “not be in this situation.” She added that if you “train” men not to be rapists, we can prevent rape.

Instead they should just make rape illegal punishable with time in prison. That should do it!

The only reason she was on was to use the absurd to illustrate the absurd.
One can't be this stooopid, can they?

That whole "just tell people not to do things" has always worked out well. Right!

Thou shalt not kill

Thou shalt not commit adultery

Thou shalt not steal

Not bear false witness

Thou shalt not covet
Everytime we look the other way when someone else loses rights we disagree with, we make it easier to lose the rights we support.

I'll argue Ms. Maxwell has a bit of the Stockholm Syndrome.

I have a better idea.

Tell men that stupidity is infectious and can be sexually transmitted. That will make her type safer. Let the smart ones carry guns instead.

one of my high school friends is going for her doctorate in gender studies and she bought into this line of reasoning hook, line, & sinker. in a discussion with her, I argued that rapists are evil and evil isn't fixed by education. rapists know right from wrong, but don't care.

she argued that a "rape culture" was to blame. instead of letting women arm themselves, she continued to hold that weapons have no place in civilised society and that she would rather teach boys and men not to rape girls. i told her that she's fine to try, but not to advocate the disarmament of the people who choose to arm themselves and creation of victims. I told her evil exists in the world and she didn't know what I meant. she thought "evil" was a fairty tale term. I had to explain that those capable of comitting these acts against others are inherently flawed. if those evil people were able to be cured by reason, I argued, that rape could be stopped overnight if every woman was assigned a letter written in glow in the dark ink with large letters that contained a well thought out, eloquent and persuasive speech about the perils and pitfalls of rape culture for her to read to an attacker.

she got so angry, that she deleted her facebook post. sadly, I know that my reasoning fell on deaf ears. she employed the ostricth defense and she'll continue to advocate the disarmament of women.

Wait, so now I can't rape either? I'm glad she said something because I've been going about this relationship thing all wrong.
My guns have killed less people than Obama's ATF has.
