I'm not gonna condemn anyone for something like this. In my professional career I've shown up for meetings at the right time in the wrong room or the right time and right room on the wrong day and the wrong room at the right time on the wrong day... you get the idea. I have no idea who these congress critters are or their party affiliation, but it was handled with grace and humor. If they dealt with all government matters in the same manner the country probably wouldn't be in half as bad shape as it is today.

People make mistakes, it's how they deal with it that reveals a person's true character.

...and when you did show up at on the right day, at the right time in the right room, you were wearing only your underwear. Smile

Agreed. Seems to me he handled the embarrassing situation with dignity.

very well said, just one question though, how many assistants did you have at the time of your error? he has 43.

I know people make mistakes, But it just goes to show "IMO" the organizational skills of the people in power. I expect more from a elected official. there's know doubt that he handled himself well when he found out he was in the wrong place, My thing is with all the money that's spent (2.559M) for his staff, that shouldn't happen.
I might be a little critical, but with all the waste and mistakes happening on capital hill, it might be warranted.

The attitude of "WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE" comes to mind in your statement, I know nobody died, but don't you see the parallel?

That's all I'm saying..

All it takes is one scheduling secretary to make a typo on a room number or date and the congressman all 43 staffers get the same wrong meeting invite. People are fallible. I can't get juiced up over this one.

I'm not getting "juiced up" . my original post wasn't lambasting the guy, was it? all I said was "it's about par"

But what I don't understand is the making of excuses.
