45 DAY MORATORIUM ON GUN SALES APPROVED IN LOS GATOS

A 45 day moratorium on gun sales has been unanimously approved by the Los Gatos Town Council.

The moratorium gives town officials time to come up with a permanent ordinance regulating gun sales.

The controversy started when Templar Sports opened in December.

Los Gatos is maybe one of the most pleasant little places in the Silicon Valley. It's up against the foothills, and has a nice little Main Street, kind of like most towns in PA, but comparatively rare in California.

For those who are Spanish-challenged, the name means "The Cats," likely because the first settlers there encountered a lot of bobcats.

It's the kind of place you'd go hang out for the day--- sort of like Chestnut Hill in Philly.

It's about the closest built-up area to the 1989 "World Series" earthquake that changed the face of the Bay Area.

I can see where they wouldn't like anything like a "gun shop" to open in the city limits, given the sort of warped sensibility of the current crop of (non native) Californians.

Hey, don't ask me. I grew up there when it was still "The Wild West."
