Yeah, its a "good law" if they agree with it, but what they're too stupid to understand is the next law is going to trample on something THEY like or want, and then they'll see it differently.

I just read the New York Times comments on the judge overturning the law. While there were plenty that agreed with the action, there were also so many people who really feel the need to have the government tell them what to do and when to do it. They had all kinds of social justifications and just refused to even consider the idea that you are responsible for your own actions.

I'm afraid things are even worse than I feared.

had this not been such a big issue for companies who stand to lose millions of dollars because of this law, who wants to bet that this issue would still be incredibly low on the list of cases to reach the high court?

edited to note: I don't disagree that this issue is indeed a liberty issue, but it just seems that, at times, NY is ass backwards on reversing laws.
